Galeotti’s Restaurant will close its doors Sun., Sept. 16

North Clark County residents who would like to have one more meal at Galeotti’s Restaurant in Battle Ground will only have a few more days to do so, as the restaurant will close its door at the end of the day Sun., Sept. 16.

Joshua Monen, founder and editor of the Battle Ground Buzz, was first to break the story of Galeotti’s closing on his Battle Ground Buzz Online Radio Show when he interviewed Mike Galeotti, Sr., one of the restaurant’s owners.

“We regret to inform our friends, family and the wonderful people in Battle Ground that we find it necessary to close down our restaurant,” Galeotti said in the interview with Monen. “We are hoping it will be a temporary close.”

During his interview with Monen, Galeotti told listeners that the reason the family has decided to close the restaurant is due to some recent family issues. Galeotti’s son, Michael Galeotti, is currently in the middle of a divorce with his soon-to-be ex wife, Bethany Joy.

“It does affect the ownership structure of the restaurant and we just decided it would be best to close until the divorce is over,” Mike Galeotti, Sr. said in the interview. “It’s a sad say for us as a family. It’s with heavy hearts that we’re going to be closing our doors as of Sunday.”

Galeotti’s Restaurant will be open for the rest of the week, 4-10 p.m. on the weekdays and 4-11 p.m. on the weekend, and they will close at the end of the day Sun., Sept. 16.

“Sunday will be our last day and we will be saying goodbye and farewell to our customers during the last few days,” Galeotti said.

After closing on Sunday, Galeotti said they will have a private party for the staff, but friends in the community who wish to stick around can also do so.

Bethany Joy Lenz & James Lafferty Donates Shoes to Shoe Revolt

One Tree Hill Alumni Donates Shoes to Shoe Revolt

Beginning Monday, August 20th, 2012 Shoe Revolt will be holding another celebrity shoe auction with proceeds benefiting victims of Human Trafficking. Earlier this year One Tree Hill alumni Kate Voegele and Elisabeth Harnois took their shoes off for our auction. We now have the pleasure of auctioning shoes donated by Bethany Joy Lenz and James Lafferty. Considering their long time on-screen relationship as One Tree Hill’s Nathan Scott and Haley James we couldn’t help but auction their shoes together.

Bethany Joy Lenz is a singer/songwriter, actress & writer that has teamed up with Seychelle shoes to donate an autographed pair of wedges by BC Footwear to Shoe Revolt. She was recently photographed at the Matt Leinart Charity Bowling Event in which she wore the identical wedges. Bethany is a huge advocate for Human Trafficking and has been working with organizations like Love146 for years. Her dedication to the fight against Human Trafficking is inspiring and Shoe Revolt is so pleased that she has extended her generosity to our cause.

James Lafferty’s fans know firsthand that he has a huge heart for giving. For 4 years James hosted the annual One Tree Hill Charity Basket Ball Event to raise money for various charities in and around Wilmington, North Carolina where his show was being filmed. James has selected and autographed a pair of Classic TOMS to help Shoe Revolt take a stand against Human Trafficking.

Shoe Revolt is incredibly grateful for donations from both Lafferty and Lenz. The funds generated from the sale will provide much-needed support for programs in the United States that assist survivors of the commercial sex trade. Most victims are women and children, and once rescued, they have nowhere to turn to gain the necessary resources for survival. Donations like Bethany and James’ allows Shoe Revolt to continue supporting programs for survivors to ensure that they remain safe.

The American Gossip Epidemic

I’ve been wanting to post something about this for days, but I needed time to process…

I lived the second half of my adolescent life in a small town called Ridgewood, New Jersey. My house being just one town over, most of my afternoons and evenings were spent at the Ridgewood movie theatre, the Starbucks, and the vintage shop across the railroad tracks. I had many significant childhood moments there; midnight sneak-aways for frozen yogurt at TCBY with mom, 5-hour long writing sessions (of my first script) at Starbucks, teenaged kisses, shopping with close friends, and after-school ice cream breaks at Haagen Daaz. I went to my first party with alcohol in Ridgewood. I had sleepovers and homework cram sessions, went to football games and youth group, I had days when I was on the top of the world, and days when I wished the world would swallow me up– the way one can only wish when they are 16. My life was extremely ordinary in that regard. There have been and will be so many New Jersey teens who experience these things in that tiny town. One of these teens was Tyler Clementi.

Shiri Appleby on working with Joy

What was it like filming the ‘One Tree Hill’ crossover?
It was really fun. It was Bethany Joy and Kate Voegele, and it was a big singing sensation day. We had Sarah McLachlan and Ben Lee and a bunch of musicians come on. It was great because I’ve known Bethany Joy since we were like 17 years old, and she’s obviously on the other side of the coin now coming to the end of an eight-year run on the show that forced her to live in another state away from her friends and family. So there was a lot that you could sit down and ask her. How did she survive this? How did she figure out how to have a social life and be a part of her family, being so far away?

“Off to LUX”

August 30, 2010 || Written by Webmaster in Misc || Comments Off

Off to LUX
Well, thanks to everyone who came out to the South Dakota show to support Everly and Enation. What a great way for us too experience our very first concert! And we don’t plan on doing any more appearances until our album is done, so for those of you who got to see last night’s show, that was a very special occasion.

This morning I’m on a plane to Vancouver to do a guest spot on Life Unexpected! I’ve always been a fan of the show, especially since it’s set in Portland, near my hometown. So, here I am, a sore throat and terrible sinus congestion, sitting in the back of a little prop plane. I’m afraid I’m a poor sight to see trampling through the airport in my sunglasses and sweats. But hopefully I’ll have some downtime from filming where I can catch up on my sleep.

I haven’t spent much time in Vancouver but I hope to find a least one little cozy spot before I leave. Any suggestions?

Here’s a peek inside my suitcase! Lots of sparkly stuff for the concert!
